Indie folk darling Lisa Mitchell has just announced she will will undertake her biggest tour of Australia this April in support of the release of new single Oh Hark!
2009 was a massive year for Ms Mitchell, and her star is rising even higher in 2010. Her shows at the recent Big Days Out were quite the drawcard indeed, if for nothing else than to see her and her band get pelted with coins whenever she played Coin Laundry (not that we condone such behaviour).
Anyway, the time is right for the release of new single Oh Hark! and Lisa is playing just about everywhere in the country to celebrate. Touted as a "theatre tour" (I don't know if HQ really counts as a theatre...), Lisa will play 17 shows on her month-long tour kicking off at the end of April with fellow folkists Boy & Bear and Georgia Fair.
Lisa Mitchell plays HQ on Thu May 20.
In the meantime, check out our interview with Lisa at the Big Day Out:
