Philadelphia Grand Jury have become one of Australia's most beloved rock bands over the past 12 months. They've partied everywhere in this great brown land of ours, and now they're taking the party (party) to the UK. Give them a proper sending off when they say good bye next month.
2009 was a massive year for the Philly Jays, winning our hearts with debut album Hope is for Hopers and conquering the live circuit with what can only be described as a chaotic live show. Well next April you'll have your final chance to catch them live before they up stumps and relocate to the UK where they'll no doubt become rock stars of Beatle-like proportions and only return home for stadium tours when they can squeeze us into their schedule. Or at least that's the plan.
To celebrate the release of new single I Don't Want To Party (Party) and the fact they've been snapped up by London boutique label Too Pure, Berkfinger and MC Bad Genius are throwing a massive farewell tour, giving us Adelaidians a double header to truly soak up their talent.
Philadelphia Grand Jury play Jive on Thu Apr 22 and Fri Apr 23.
To get you in the mood, see what happened last time they hit Jive Bar:
