TRAILER PARK BOYS SET TO TRASH THE FRINGE

Jesus Murphy! In one of the most surreal announcements ahead of the 2012 Adelaide Fringe season, the Trailer Park Boys have announced their debut appearance in Adelaide.

Last seen on an Adelaide stage performing a duet with Axl Rose to a baffled Guns N’ Roses audience at the Entertainment Centre in 2007, Bubbles is evading the parole officers and bringing the Trailer Park Boys to Adelaide for the first time. Bubbles, Julian and Ricky, the stars of the infamous television show Trailer Park Boys, have been announced as a surreal new addition to the Adelaide Fringe line-up, with this collective of Canadian weirdos hitting Thebarton Theatre on Sun Mar 18.

Starting out as a short film in the late 1990s, Trailer Park Boys chronicles the adventures of three dubious characters living in the Sunnyvale trailer park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. After wrapping up seven seasons, two TV specials and two films, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are now wreaking havoc on their Drunk, High And Unemployed tour.

Trailer Park Boys play Thebarton Theatre on Sunday Mar 18. Tickets go on sale from Mon Dec 12 at 9am, with all tickets $69.90. Book at Fringetix on 1300 FRINGE or at adelaidefringe.com.au.
