MUSIC VIDEOS THIS WEEK

You could have guessed, but this week we look at the bombastic new (and allegedly plagiarised) music video from Beyonce, plus some more from Lord Huron, local troubadours Lyla, Metronomy, Bleeding Knees Club, Tyler, The Creator and DJ Shadow. No prosthetic baby bumps about it.

Lyla – Get On

Directed by former Adelaide filmographer Aaron Schuppan, Lyla release their latest video from their EP Sitting In The Sun. Very arthouse, we like.

Beyonce – Countdown

Well it only took a whole weekend for the plagiarism accusations to come out thick and strong, but the latest video from Beyonce has already racked up over two million views as it shows the leading lady with a hefty new baby bump (also now under question). Also sporting a dark ‘do, Beyonce still proves that she is the ultimate. Whatever media scandal she gets into, we will still continue our phonetic devotion to Queen B.

Bleeding Knees Club – Teenage Girls

The Gold Coast surf-punk outfit’s new endorsement by NME is doing them wonders, exemplified through all the babes in their latest video clip Teenage Girls. Their debut album Nothing To Do is out February next year.

DJ Shadow – Border Crossing

Striking out from his usual modus operandi of softer, eerier electro music, DJ Shadow opts for something with a bit more grit in his latest single Border Crossing. The sepia-toned video is just as gruff, watch below.

Metronomy – Everything Goes My Way

You might have been up late watching TV one night when you heard this song on a Bonds commercial with a chick dancing in the jungle. Now Lord Huron have replaced Bonds booty with their own video clip, good for them!

Tyler, The Creator - Bitch Suck Dick

I'll give this video credit for being pretty amusing, OFWGKTA definitely got a talent for making unforgettable and at times hilarious clips. But I can't seem to get past the glaring presence of the lyrics, morbidly obese girls in bikinis and Tyler's pixelated nads, yet Tyler as 'Baywolf' is pretty entertaining..
