RED BULL BEDROOM JAM 2011: ROUND TWO

The Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2011 is returning for Round Two this year with a mission to discover, via webcam, teenage bands rehearsing in their bedrooms across Australia. The prize for the competition is a trip to LA to record in Red Bull’s studio.

Last year, four finalist bands found themselves playing a live gig in Alice Springs with British India, with Melbourne’s Welcome Wednesday taking out first place and flying to London to record and perform at UK rock festival Download.

Now it’s time for you, and your band, to get involved! The competition is seeking any band with members aged 14-19, and to get them to upload a video of them performing an original song to the Red Bull Bedroom Jam website

Every fortnight for eight weeks, the band that tops the Buzz Chart will win the chance to stream a live performance to the world from their bedroom. A professional Red Bull film crew will be dispatched to the finalist’s house for the Live Webcast, hosted by MTV’s Daisy McHarg-McKenzie. From here, the four finalist bands will go on to play an epic wrap gig at a Backyard Jam event alongside a major Aussie band.

The first webcast winner will be announced on Thur June 2 and will broadcast live from their bedroom at 5.00pm AEST on Thursday June 9.
