A massive line-up has been announced for Clipsal 500’s Friday night concert with Hilltop Hoods headlining the showcase of Australian music featuring the biggest hip hop and indie dance acts in the land on Fri Mar 12.
Aside from the Hoods; Midnight Juggernauts, Funkoars and Lowrider round out the Friday night line-up. The Hoods need little introduction, as they are not only the biggest hip hop crew in the land but one of Australia’s most popular acts with many number one albums including The Hard Road and last year’s State Of The Art. Along for the Friday night ride are the Hoods’ Adelaide peers and frequent collaborators Funkoars and Lowrider. Funkoars are one of the most energetic live crews in this country and their albums The Hangover and The Greatest Hits are well loved in the hip hop community. Local soul, funk and hip hop act Lowrider are an Adelaide favourite with their smooth nu-soul.
Then there is the Midnight Juggernauts who are about to release one of the most anticipated albums of the year, the follow-up to 2006’s Dystopia, which saw the group take their psychedelic version of indie dance to stages and dancefloors across the globe.
The Clipsal 500 is happening from Thu Mar 11 to Sun Mar 14. Entry to the Friday night concert, as part of the Jim Beam Track Sounds On Circuit Series, is free to holders of Clipsal 500 Adelaide tickets valid on that day. For tickets head to ticketek.com.au For more info head to clipsal500.com.au.
