The Sydney dance rock trio have been confirmed for Adelaide's biggest street party!
The opening night of the Fringe Festival is just one of those dates when mark down in your calender with a big "save this date" written in thick red texta. The excitement and party atmosphere that floods Adelaide's East End is unmatched at any other time in the year. And this year's opening night party looks like it could be one of the biggest yet, with Art Vs Science headlining the bill.
2009 saw the Sydney-based band shoot to fame with their mega hit Parlez Vous Francais? and this year will only see their star rise as a highly-anticipated debut album is currently in pre-production. Speaking to AdelaideNow about the band's appearance at the 2010 Fringe Parade, drummer Dan Williams said they were really drawn to the festival.
"It's certainly something that suits the temperament of the people in Art Vs Science, because we all like sophisticated things but, at the same time, childish things," he said.
Joining Art Vs Science on the stage in 2010 will be Killaqueens, The Killgirls, Canvas Kites and the winner of the Spin DJ Comptition.
The 2010 Fringe Parade will begin at 7pm on Fri Feb 19 at Dequetteville Tce and make its way to Pirie St via Rundle Rd and East Tce.
Whoah, Adam Ant is coming to Adelaide as part of a comeback tour this March.
The former White Stripes frontman has released the first single off his new solo album.
The psychedelic locals will be performing with The Living End at this year's Clipsal 500
