Rip It Up Digital sends season's greetings to all its readers. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah and crazy Kwanzaa, we present you with some holiday chat from a few famous faces and wrap up 2009.

Dave Welsh from The Fray's Colorado Christmas
“We’ll be home in Denver in time to put a last-minute Christmas tree up. Hopefully it will be a white Christmas, because it’s always so much more fun when it is. It’s really disappointing if you wake up and you can still see the trees and there’s no snow. But wife and I bounce between two families and eat two massive meals in one day, which can be a little belt-busting by the end.”
The Fray play Thebarton Theatre on Sat Apr 3.
Julia Zemiro talks Christmas preparations
“I’m very organised for my Christmas this year and I’m very smug about it. I’m all sorted already. I don’t have many people to buy for so it’s all good.”
Julia Zemiro hosts Comfort Zone at the Adelaide Festival from Fri Feb 26 until Sat Mar 13.
Brandon Barnes from Rise Against's non-musical highlight of the year
“Probably my son Liam starting to talk has been the highlight. He can’t say sentences yet but just hearing him say words is very entertaining because he can’t pronounce them very well.”
Rise Against play the Big Day Out at Adelaide Showground on Fri Jan 29.
UK MUSIC JOURNO JOHN HARRIS’ MUSIC PICK FOR 2010
“Have you heard of Micachu & The Shapes? The music is borderline unlistenable really, but it’s the musical equivalent of when you are a kid and you find an electric fence and you can’t help yourself from touching it even though it’s unpleasant. Micachu & The Shapes’ music is like that – it’s discordant and there isn’t a tune within a hundred miles of it, but at least she’s trying to think outside the box and bend music out of shape. I think she’s great – she reminds me of when Peaches was good.”
Hail! Hail! Rock ‘N’ Roll is out now through Sphere.
