Ever since Walk The Line there's been a renewed interest in the dawning days of rock and roll. Hundreds of bluegrass, country and rockabilly acts have sprung up in the years since, culminating in the first annual Rockabilly Rumble festival, which will take place at the Crown & Anchor early next month.
Certainly this is a music festival with a difference. Held within the Cranchor's historic confines (if those walls could talk...), Rockbilly Rumble will be a day-long event featuring six bands of the rockabilly persuasion, two burlesque performers, a fashion parade and stalls, an art exhibition, as well as a tattoo artist onsite inking up the punters. It's all about rekindling the spirit of the '50s, when things were simpler, the clothes more fashionable and the music more exciting.
Headlining the music section of this day of festivities will be Adelaide's own The Satellites (pictured). Having kicked around for more than a decade, The Satellites aren't exactly new to this whole rockabilly thing. But they're easily still one of the more interesting proponents of the genre. They'll be joined by local and interstate bands alike, all of which are listed below.

The Sin & Tonics
Adrian White (from The Vaudevillian)
