You probably know him best as Murray from Flight Of The Conchords, but internationally renowned comedian Rhys Darby is well and truly a star in his own right. Next month the Kiwi funny man will be back in Australia for a massive stand-up tour, taking him to all corners of the country.
While his role as Deputy Cultural Attaché at America’s New Zealand Consulate and Flight Of The Conchords manager has immortalised Darby in the BBC and HBO series, his roots lie in the world of stand-up. Last year he released his Rhys Darby: Imagine That! DVD, taken from one of his stand-up shows in LA.
And as well as his stand-up and television careers, Darby is a movie star in the making. Having appeared alongside Jim Carrey, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy and Nick Frost in the films Yes Man and The Boat That Rocked, Darby will star in two upcoming romantic comedies, Coming And Going with Sasha Alexander and Lovebirds with Sally Hawkins.
One of the funniest comedians going around, Rhys Darby is a man not to be missed when he drops into Australia this October.
