Need a little knowledge in your life? Well the Australian International Documentary Conference and the Media Resource Centre are here to help. The first Wednesday of every month they will be screening the finest documentaries from around the world at Adelaide's iconic Mercury Cinema.
Beginning Wed Sep 1, The Screening Room will present some of the world's finest documentaries, starting with Academy Award-nominated The Most Dangerous Man In America: Daniel Ellsburg and the Pentagon Papers. The film tells the story of former Pentagon insider Daneil Ellsburg who leaked documents which led to the Watergate scandal, the resignation of President Richard Nixon and the end of the Vietnam War. And following its showing at The Screening Room, the audience will be able to enageg with a live video link Q&A session with the film's director Judith Ehrlich.
Next month sees the process of global food politics exposed in Bananas! These will be followed by a new documentary from around the world every month.
