The national youth broadcaster has its say on the best Australian album, best music video and best Unearthed artist for 2009.
Triple J has unveiled the coveted J Award recipients for 2009. This year’s nominations had Rip It Up scratching our heads somewhat, with Philadelphia Grand Jury being nominated twice and a general lack of variation being shown in the album of the year category (Lisa Mitchell, Oh Mercy, Paul Dempsey and Sarah Blasko were all nominated). Nevertheless, here are the award winners:
