Tim Minchin Vs The ASO: It’s On!
28.07.10The gloves are off so let’s get ready to rumble. Comedy rock heavyweight Tim Minchin is taking on the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in a modern-day clash of the musical titans...or something like that. Either way the two are teaming up for an epic live performance at the Festival Theatre next March, proudly supported by Rip It Up.
“Deep down I've always believed I deserved to have a symphony orchestra poised 24/7 to respond to my every musical whim,” says Tim in typical Minchin bravado. “This is merely a step in the right direction.”
Well, early next year the rock comic will get his wish as he teams up with Australia’s best orchestras for a special run of shows dubbed the Tim Minchin Vs The Orchestra Tour. Tim will strap on his finest piano fingers as he debuts new material and gives some of the old classics the orchestral treatment. Don’t miss your chance to catch Tim in this extremely unique setting.
