After being frozen out by the likes of The Big Pink, The Dead Weather and Phoenix, Adelaidians finally have reason to rejoice with the announcement of three massive tour shows gracing our city in the new year.
First up will be New York's finest indie-dance trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs on Tue Jan 5. It's going to be a massive tour downunder for Karen O and co., who play the Falls, Southbound and Sunset Sounds Festivals as well as sideshows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and now Adelaide.
As previously reported on Rip It Up, American disco-punks Gossip are taking some time out from the Good Vibrations tour and popping into Adelaide to say hello on Thu Feb 18. Oh yeah, and they're bringing their pals Friendly Fires along for the ride.
And after their Paklife no-show due to an unfortunate bout of tonsillitis afflicting singer Elly Jackson, La Roux are making good on their promises to return to Oz and will be dropping by Adelaide on Tue Mar 23.
All gigs are happening at Thebarton Theatre and all tickets will be available through Venuetix. You'll be able to get your tickets for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Gossip shows from Thu Dec 10 while La Roux tickets will go on sale the very next day on Fri Dec 11.
And it doesn't stop there! Rip It Up has also heard rumours that Laneway snubbers Mumford & Sons have reconsidered their tour plans and will be making a stop in Adelaide. Stay logged onto Rip It Up for more info and other tour announcements.
