Believe the hype! The rumours are true! Murdoc, 2D and the gang are taking Plastic Beach into international waters, landing in Australia in December. Taking in the big five capital cities, this tour promises to be one of the real highlights of 2010.
The world's first virtual band, Gorillaz were formed by pop chameleon Damon Albarn and animator Jamie Hewlitt 10 years ago. Their eponymous debut album turned plenty of heads in their direction before 2005's Demon Days set the world on fire. Earlier this year they released third album Plastic Beach to fairly mixed reviews, but it nevertheless instilled them as one of the most interesting and innovative musical projects on the planet.
At the end of the year, Gorillaz are taking to the high seas to bring their mind-blowing live show to Australia. With special guests from their albums notorious for making live appearances as well, it might not just be Damon and Jamie on the boat to our shores.
