In 2010 Adelaide is playing host to World Beard Day. That's right, a day for beards. Bearded men and women (why not?) from all around the world will gather to celebrate their beardedness, with the global event happening at The Governor Hindmarsh. And just take a guess who'll be playing on the night...
None other than Adelaide's own proud pack of bearded folksmen The Beards will be headlining the night, with support from A French Butler Called Smith, Adam Page, The Bearded Gypsy Band and a bearded barbershop quartet (irony, anyone?) called The Fishbowls. What else will be happening on the night reamins somewhat of a mystery, although there will be a beard competition and unbearded ladies can pick up a free fake beard. Just don't forget not to shave that morning.
With the amount of bearded musical talent we have in this city, the good folks at the Beard Association couldn't have picked a better place to host World Beard Day.
World Beard Day happens at The Governor Hindmarsh on Sat Sep 4.
Whoah, Adam Ant is coming to Adelaide as part of a comeback tour this March.
The former White Stripes frontman has released the first single off his new solo album.
The psychedelic locals will be performing with The Living End at this year's Clipsal 500
